The short answer
SEO in Albania costs anywhere from a few hundred euros for a one-off technical audit up to several hundred a month for an ongoing programme with content. The difference is not the agency's quality but the amount of work: a site that only needs technical fixes costs far less than one that needs twenty new service pages.
These are indicative market bands, not fixed rates. Any serious proposal should come after someone has looked at your site, not before.
What drives the cost
Four factors decide almost the whole price. When you receive a proposal, ask how each one was calculated.
- Current state: a badly built site may need rebuilding before SEO makes any sense at all.
- Page count: how many services you have and how many need a page of their own.
- Competition: “marketing agency Tirana” is far more expensive than a narrow local service term.
- Languages: a bilingual site with hreflang is close to double the content work.
What every proposal should include
A proposal without these is a blank cheque. Ask for them in writing before you sign.
- A concrete list of first-month work, not “site optimisation”
- Who writes the content and how many pages per month
- What gets reported, how often, and with which tool
- Who owns the Search Console and Analytics accounts — it should be you
- What happens to the work already done if you stop working together
Signs of a bad proposal
A few things make it immediately clear it is not worth it. A first-position guarantee is the first: Google does not sell organic rankings, so they are either selling you disguised ads or lying.
The second is a price quoted over the phone without looking at the site at all. The third is a six or twelve month contract with no review point. And the fourth is not giving you access to the data, because it means you can never verify the work.
Is SEO worth it for your business?
SEO is worth it when people already search for what you sell and when you can wait three to six months. If you need customers within two weeks, ads are the right answer, not SEO. If the product is brand new and nobody searches for it by name, there is nothing for search to capture yet.
For most local businesses in Tirana, the first step is not an SEO programme at all: it is the Google Business Profile, which is free and which you can set up yourself in an hour. Start there.
